a sunday at the park

It's incredible, how much potential any given sunday can have here in Charleston. From the bubbly brunches to the window box strolls, to picnics in the park, I'd say sundays have quickly become my favorite day of the week. There's something so relaxing and comforting, knowing that everyone in town has the same idea about how to spend their day of rest. (And how that's actually a thing here!)

This past Sunday was no exception, as I got to play with some of Charleston's sweetest gals over at Hampton Park. There are countless things I love about calling this place home, but I'd have to say the best part is how much it surprises me from day to day. There is so much newness and freshness here, all the time. With new flowers blooming in colors too beautiful to be real, (how about that wisteria just hanging out on the side of the freeway?) new restaurants and coffee shops popping up on cobble-stoned street corners, and girlfriends who become instant soul sisters.

I'm so blessed to have Hilary of By Hilary Rose who has taken me under her southern wing, as well as Randi of Kay & Co. These girls are strong, creative, empowering sweeties who keep me dreaming and smiling. It's amazing to see what they're doing with their entrepreneurial spirits, and to picture their growth and potential in a city that literally has everything you could ever dream of. (That is, if all you need is sunshine, sweet tea, and the sea.) I feel the more time I spend with these kinds of minds, the more uplifted and driven I am in my own creative pursuits. It's become so clear that the sky is truly the limit in this heavenly town, and dreaming big while being surrounded by a million azaleas and a pastel sky is A-OK in my book. :)

A big thank you to Nicole of N. Mickle Photography for these southern springtime shots!
